I am writing this post at 9.45pm on Sunday night putting some final touches to my two lessons I’m teaching tomorrow.

Lesson plans hurricanemaine

Mine are on scrap paper.

That might seem a little unprofessional to some or show some lack of time management skills on my part, but when I think about the opposite situation something quite odd occurs to me. I’ve planned lessons well in advance of when I was going to teach them before (sometimes 3 weeks ahead of myself) and I’ve found that when I got to teach them, well, the lessons weren’t all that good. I guess I want to ask a few questions to my readers out there (all three of them):

  • How far in advance do you plan lessons?
  • Do you find lessons sometimes go better when you’re planning is last minute?
  • How long does it take you to plan? (on average)

Look forward to your answers ๐Ÿ™‚
